Uncovering the Unschooling Curriculum: Here's What You Need to know
WHAT IS UNSCHOOLING?
So, you're thinking about unschooling your child? Or maybe you're just curious about what it is. Perhaps you are deep in the process of deschooling? Either way, you've come to the right place.
Wild Child Unschooling was created by unschooling mum and writer, Julie Ann, as a journal to record her and her sons unschooled days, weeks and years, in the hope of inspiring and empowering others to embrace the wild again through natural play, deschooling and nature play.
Unschooling is an alternative form of education that allows children to learn in their own way and at their own pace. There is no set curriculum or schedule, and children are free to explore their interests and passions. This type of learning can take place anywhere – at home, or in natural play, with an emphasis on creating a life that is rich and meaningful, rather than on earning good grades.
We invite you to follow our journey as we step away from traditional schooling ideologies, breathe, find flow, embrace nature play, nature journalling, deschooling, and learn with the seasons. We hope by being here you feel inspired and confident to trust that life and learning can be slower, simpler, and more meaningful.
